What is the turn-around time and cost of a film permit?
The turn-around time for a film permit can take anywhere from 48 hours to 1 month depending on the jurisdiction and complexity of your shoot. Please call PPS directly for more specific information about your location(s) and a fee estimate.
What are the posting/new location deadlines for the City of Los Angeles?
Normal schedule:
Day of effective posting/location
Sunday – Monday: Call in before 4 PM Tuesday
Tuesday: Call in before 4 PM Wednesday
Wednesday: Call in before 4 PM Thursday
Thursday: Call in before 4 PM Friday
Friday: Call in before 4 PM Monday
Saturday: Call in before 4 PM Tuesday

Can I pay for my PPS invoice online?
Yes, you can pay for your PPS invoice online. However, we are currently not accepting credit card payments online.
How do I order LAPD officers?
You can call the PPS office to order officers for your shoot. Please give us a 2-3 day lead time when possible. Someone from the office will call you by 3 PM the day before your shoot to confirm your officer’s call times. Once your officers are confirmed, an 8-hour minimum will be due.
What are the current LAPD officer rates?

How do I pay for the LAPD officers hired through PPS?
LAPD officers are paid on timecards directly through the production payroll. Officers can expect to receive a timecard and W2 form from production on the day of their shift, which they will turn in at the end of the shift or series of shifts if the job is for multiple dates.
